Botanical Name:  Eucalyptus pauciflora
Common Name:  Cabbage gum/weeping gum/snow gum/white sally
Family:  Myrtaceae
Size:  20-30m H

Leaves: Juvenile – short stalk, ovate, bluish green, to 18cm long; adult – lanceolate with veins almost parallel to the mid-vein, glossy green, to 18cm long.
Flowers: The flower buds are arranged in leaf axils in cluster of between seven and fifteen, sometimes more, on an unbranched peduncle 3–15 mm long, the individual buds on pedicels up to 6 mm long. Mature buds are oval, 4–8 mm long and 3–5 mm wide with a conical to rounded operculum.
Flowering Time:  Spring/summer
Fruit: Cup-shaped to obconical, to 15mm across, valves usually level with rim.

Habitat/distribution: Widespread in dry sclerophyll forest and open grassy woodlands of the Midlands and north-east, 200-700m. Also Vic, NSW.
Where to See: Common tree of frosty areas.
