Leaves: Narrow elliptical with blunt or slightly pointed ends, 3-6 cm long.
Flowers: Cream to bright lemon-yellow, forming bottle-brushes to 8cm long.
Flowering Time: Spring and summer.
Fruit: Woody capsules in groups along the stems.
Habitat/distribution: Widespread and common especially on well-drained hillsides.
Where to See: East Coast, Tasman Peninsula, Central Highlands
Other notes: Hardy garden plant. Propagate from seed and cuttings.
