Leaves: Variable, to 15 mm long, rigid, concave with pungent point.
Flowers:
White, five-petalled, up to 16 mm in diameter, solitary along the branches.
Flowering Time: Spring and summer.
Fruit: Woody capsule from 5–9 mm in diameter.

Habitat/distribution: Widespread and abundant throughout the state
Other notes: In the garden suits most situations with abundant sunlight. Frost-hardy and will withstand dry periods. Propagate from seeds or cuttings.
