Leaves: Hairy top & bottom, opposite, linear.basal leaves 6-9cm, decreasing up the stem
Flowers
:  Yellow cylindrical or ovoid, 1.5-2.5cm long, terminal
Flowering Time: Spring
Fruit: A crypsela (i.e. a single seeded fruit developed from a double ovary)

Habitat/distribution: Limited to dry areas in the south
Where to See:Not known from any reserve. This species occurs on disturbed dry grassland on roadsides or in paddocks on private land. Orielton Lagoon (Sorell), Shark Point Road (Sorell) and the Hobart Airport.
Other notes: Loss of habitat due to land use is threatening this plant.
